This is the method I used to
ensure that the center points of the swivel connectors on the connecting
rods were the exact same distance apart as the rudder servos. |
 |
After finding the correct
length for the connecting rods, I then assembled the servo arms using a
new servo wheel, but without the holes drilled to connect the arms to the
wheel. After carefully aligning everything and clamping it to hold
it in place, I marked the locations of the holes. I drilled a 1/16"
pilot hole to make sure I had drilled correctly, then finished drilling
them with a 3/32 bit. |

I then used a straight edge to
ensure that the swivel connector centers were in line with the center
point of the servo gear. After carefully aligning everything and
clamping it to hold it in place, I marked the locations of the holes.
I drilled a 1/16" pilot hole to make sure I had drilled correctly, then
finished drilling them with a 3/32 bit. I then hooked everything back up
and the results appear to be pretty good. |
