Mounting the Wheel Pants - 7/30/2001

MVC-184F.JPG (30841 bytes) One of the wheel pants.  Very good fiberglass and an EXCELLENT paint job.  The light spots are reflections from the overhead lights, not a flaw in the paint.
MVC-183F.JPG (33138 bytes) The light plywood backer.  There are one of these on each side of both wheel pants.
MVC-182F.JPG (30848 bytes) A before (right) and after (left) shot of the wheel pants after one of the openings has been expanded to accommodate the Kavan wheels.
MVC-186F.JPG (60548 bytes) A before (left) and after (right) showing how the axle hub has been shortened to center the wheel.  Don't cut of too much or you will be using washers to center the wheel!
MVC-188F.JPG (48607 bytes) A view of the finished product.  If you look closely you can see the set screw for the SIG wheel pant mount.
MVC-189F.JPG (54308 bytes) And the finished product.  The smudges you see are from handling the wheel pant.  I just didn't do a very good job of cleaning them before shooting this pic.  The paint job is flawless!  Good job Aeroworks!
