I got interested RC in about 1978. I worked during the summer for a construction company framing houses one summer to save enough money to buy my first radio. My first airplane was a Sweet Stick. While building it I purchased a .20 size trainer and got in the air. I learned how to fly but I hand problems landing. I drifted from the hobby for about 12 to 13 years. In about 1993 I started back in the hobby. A really good friend that I worked with at the time re-taught me how to fly and how to land. I have been in the hobby ever sense. I joined the Richardson Radio Control Club to get away from flying at the rogue fields and because my good friend was spending more time out of town and I had no one to enjoy the hobby with.
